More Backgrounding

I love ink. There are so many things you can do with it, besides putting rubber to ink and stamping images (which I love to do, too). Here are two backgrounds that I made. The first is a dark cardstock that I embossed unevenly (on purpose) with UTEE and then rubbed contrasting Pearl-Ex powders across it. I then sealed it with a spray sealer.

ScrappyPam: UTEE Background

This background was so simple - I just took a piece of glossy cardstock and swiped two different colors of blue Distress Ink directly across the paper. I really like using Distress Ink on glossy paper; it's quite different than using it on non-glossy cardstock or paper. I then took a piece of plastic wrap (you know, the kind you keep in your kitchen), bunched it up, and used it as a stamp with Brilliance Gold ink to create some highlights.
